Saturday was one of the most special days of my life. I got engaged.

I feel a little weird even calling it that. I believe so strongly that getting married isn’t an accomplishment. That it isn’t more impressive than let’s say running a marathon or getting a master’s degree, despite what society might tell you…

But still… it was special.

To be surrounded by so many people I love. To feel my heart burst knowing friends and family traveled from near and far to be there. To see how much work and thought Jeremy put into creating an experience that felt so us. It truly was incredible.

And I rode that high until Tuesday. That’s when the anxiety started seeping back in.

Not about the engagement. Feeling great about that.

But about my career. The doubt and the crushing fear around the path I’m on right now. A blow to my confidence shook me a bit. I started questioning if I’d made some big mistake. All while receiving the sweetest messages about my engagement.

It’s the highs and lows. All at once.

I don’t have the magic answer. I’m still very much figuring it out. But I’ve been trying a few little things to build my confidence back up. Some of them are a little messy, some a little playful, but they’re helping me hold the highs and lows at the same time right now.
